About Us

Our mission is to provide financial support to families whose lives have been touched by childhood cancer.

Myla

On October 6th, 2011, a star was born! Myla Carrera shot into the world in 15 quick minutes and graced us all with her grand presence. She was welcomed into a family that was full of love and she quickly alerted us of who the boss was. Potty-trained at 14 months, and with a vocabulary of a 3-year-old at 18 months, Myla had a keen understanding of how to impact the lives of those around us. She taught lessons of empathy and kindness, which included authentically thinking of others before herself, such as when her older sister dropped her ice-cream on the ground, and Myla immediately offered her own as a replacement. She comprehended inclusivity in an effortless manner and there was no question that “Myla, the sparkling unicorn” was organically the glue that held her friendships together. She was an extremely organized child with a goofy, wise, old soul and a contagious zest for life! She loved her dog, Hulkie, and her two older sisters, and she was convinced she would be the next star YouTuber. Her flamboyant nature was natural, unduplicated, and perfectly accompanied by her unconditional love for others. Myla will forever be missed, and through Myla’s BeLeaf, we will continue to carry on her altruistic spirit while helping her new friends that are in need.

Her vision is for this book (and those to follow) to reach every child facing cancer across the world, helping them feel seen, supported, and less alone.

No matter the chapter of her life — from travel, to leadership, to advocacy — Camilla’s purpose remains rooted in love, resilience, and the legacy of her children, who continue to inspire her life’s work.
